Therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Families In Asheville and Across NC + CA
Learn to listen to the wisdom within.
It’s time to step more fully into your power & find freedom from what’s holding you back.
Hi, I’m kat.
I want to help you ask the important questions & live courageously into your answers.
No matter what brings you to therapy—chronic worry or numbness, relationship struggles, a moment where life no longer feels like it used to, or even a meaningful opportunity that asks you to grow—we’ll approach your experience with curiosity and compassion.
In our work together, we’ll explore the questions that matter: What do you want and need, really? What’s getting in the way? I’ll offer perspective and space to help you connect with the answers already within you.
This is a place where all parts of you are welcome—including the ones you don’t usually show. Over time, you’ll begin to see more clearly what supports your growth, what doesn’t, and how to live in deeper alignment with your values and aspirations.
Sessions with me are dynamic and collaborative—no two look exactly the same.
I'm here to actively engage with you, whether we're helping you examine and challenge old beliefs that no longer serve you, unpacking how your past influences your present, or experimenting with new ways of being. I draw from a variety of methods—including relational psychodynamic (addressing patterns of relating), somatic (body-based), and experiential (here-and-now focused) approaches—to tailor our work to what you need to reach your goals.
You can expect a relationship that’s both supportive and challenging. I’ll bring compassion and empathy to your experiences, but I’m also here to help you grow—and sometimes that means facing discomfort. Whether we're focusing on how your early relationships have shaped your current patterns or exploring how your body holds stress and emotion, our work will aim to integrate all parts of your experience. My approach is rooted in a deep understanding of how our social identities and systemic realities shape who we are, and I draw from over 15 years of study and practice in both traditional and psychedelic-informed healing modalities to guide our journey together.

Though they’ve helped you obtain success and manage the responsibilities you carry so far, you might be finding that your anxious thoughts and old ways of coping are no longer serving you. You want to try a new approach, but might not be sure where to start. This work can help you tap into your inner wisdom and allow you to quiet worrying thoughts, trust yourself more deeply, and grow your capacity to show up fully in this new chapter of your life.

You notice familiar feelings from childhood coming up again and again, as well as your tendency to avoid confrontation or keep your needs and emotions inside to make others feel better. Self-doubt often makes it even harder to trust your own experiences, memories, and feelings. Therapy can help you heal from the past, reconnect with yourself, recognize and manage your triggers, set healthy boundaries, and embrace a more authentic and fulfilling life.

You and your partner(s) or family member(s) seem stuck in a cycle you can’t get out of, and you may feel lonely or uncertain about what the future holds for your relationship. Therapy can help you learn to communicate more openly and compassionately, navigate tough conversations, and grow together through the different seasons of life. You can discover new ways to handle conflict and decide how to move forward in a way that honors the individual and the relationship.

You might be feeling stuck, drained, and disconnected from yourself, but can’t fully understand why. All you do know is life feels sad and one-dimensional. Ketamine-assisted therapy can help you discover new perspectives, let go of harsh self-judgment, and find a more hopeful and engaged way to live.

As your consultant or supervisor, I can help you harness confidence, trust your clinical judgment, and learn to be more bold and self-assured in your practice. We’ll work to sharpen your assessment and case conceptualization skills from a relational psychodynamic perspective and expand your toolkit with experiential, mindfulness-based, and somatic techniques. Additionally, you can explore how to integrate couples or family therapy and newer approaches like KAP, all while developing healthier boundaries and a more empowered, engaged presence with your clients.
